Historic Duwisib Castle

In a remote valley, on the edge of the Namib Dune Desert, set amidst huge camel-thorn trees, lies one of Namibia's most famous and extraordinary buildings - the historic Duwisib Castle. It offers a good overnight stop between southern Namibia and Sossusvlei and the Naukluft Mountains.

This historic monument is run by Namibia Wildlife Resorts and is open to day visitors.It is located within short walking distance of all our overnight facilities.

Their cosy and clean rooms will ensure a relaxing stay with views of the surrounding mountains.The campsites are well maintained and shaded by indigenous camethorn trees.

Day visitors can also enjoy some refreshments at the coffee shop.Try their well known apple pie while watching tame ostriches from close by. With scenic views and beautiful camethorn trees.
