The Fish River Lodge, on the edge of eternity!!!!!
Fish River Lodge was built in 2009 and designed by Namibian-born
architect Andy Chase from the Windhoek-based architectural firm Stauch
& Partners. The natural environment served both as stylistic
reference as well inspiration for the colour palette. Even the trying
entry road to the lodge mirrors the isolation of the lodge while the
dry-packed stone wall that runs the length of the lodge guards the
natural spectacle that awaits you.
20 private chalets are dotted along the edge of the canyon, flanking
both sides of the main lodge. As with the main building, guests can soak
up the enchanting views. The beds have been placed to allow guests a
prime spot from which to gaze over the majestic canyon as the sun washes
a kaleidoscope of colours over the landscape every morning.
