Alte Kalköfen LodgeThe lodge is named Alte Kalköfen, that was derived from two old lime ovens situated on the farms Simplon and Sandverhaar. The older oven was built in the middle 1800s and the newer oven in 1910 with the purpose to produce lime that was used for construction and agricultural purpose. Alte Kalköfen is situated on a plot inside the farm Sandverhaar. The Lodge is an interesting combination of modern architecture, it’s environment and decorative remainders from the “past”...
